Even though I have 5 runes, I only use 4. I also use a +hp staff that gets my total health to about 200hp. SoA does not work like the HB 55 hp monk where you are totally dependant on HB healing the damage. Here you only take a small bit of damage, and rest is all 0. Casting PS after that will heal you back to the max. The reason I prefer running 200hp is that I can farm enemies that causes degen. With 55 hp you cant.

If you fight ranged enemies...they don't run.

Keira Darkwind is absolutly right, if the ice imps attack you they attack from range and dont run away, the same thing is with thirsty river mission.. i use more Smit attributes so i can kill them at once. but then i have only 6sec soa but it goes all okay. And look out for there traps, its possible that you die if you dont watch out

Okay I just finished readin all 16 freakin pages. Don't ask my why but I did.
I have never made a monk because I figure the only reason I would use one would be for farming, and that seems kinda like a waste to me.
Now, just looking at HOW the build works is making me want to lean in that direction. It is amazing how in that one picture, the guys were tanking upwards of 30 enemies, it is just mindblowing from a gamers perspective.
I thank you for the amazing build (yes I know this was posted 2 and a half weeks ago).

I hava an idea! this build would work great on ids so if u had illusion of haste instead of b sig would u be able tyo make it to mineral springs ice cave.Youd have to do some attribute tweaking but im sure u could make it. im gonna try this sum time but if u have done or do it plz pm me IGN Healer Pheona... i read more on this say u put 4 illusion in that gives u 7 secs of running stand there cast sum stuff to keep u alive (while waiting for recharge) and run sum more it wouldnt be the fastest way to get there! but once you are there is would be easy to solo.

I like this build... but.. This brings the same problem as every solo build... They run away. I'm finding that farming weakling enemies (such as the bugs outside of Yohlon Haven) is about the best way to make money now.
Well, I guess you could farm ranged enemys.
But.. how many of those are there that ONLY have ranged and drop good?

Trying it as I type, it works pretty darn well. Obviously it can't kill healing enemies, and it lacks the oomph to take out caster bosses as it stands right now.
The mending is necessary, as not all attacks seem to deal 0 damage...I don't know why that is.

Well it is only like the first 2 -4 attacks that deal dmg, and that is because the soa havent stacked the dmg yet. But that is covered if u cast a new monk skill to heal quite quick after using soa... soa stacks the dmg quite quick I regularily have no problem with the dmg stacking.

You have several options. Use divine favor to heal yourself by casting prot spirit or breeze. Some people bring sig of devotion. I myself bring watchful spirit, which negates some degen and offers a big heal when you need it (I run higher hp than normal).

I noticed that Reversal of Damage wil deal the full ammount of damage even with Shield of Ab and Protective Spirit on. It applies the damage before all the other enchantments are considered. It is a good source of damage besides Shield of Judgement. I seems to make up for the lack damage compared to the Spirit bonding builds I use to run.
